We are seeking a Director, Events to join BGRE in New York, reporting to the SVP, Marketing. In this role, you will play a key role in planning and executing programming across NY portfolio. In this role, you will act as main point of contact for the permitting process on behalf of all Brookfield Place events with Battery Park City Authority (BPCA). You will also field and manage business development and tenant engagement opportunities, as well as support the SVP, Marketing and external agency on strategy and planning. Role & Responsibilities Work with SVP and agency to produce all public-facing activation, retail, private, and brand alliance events within Brookfield’s New York City portfolio, primarily focusing on Brookfield Place and Manhattan WestPlan, produce and execute programming in partnership with agency that meets business objectives as assigned, including contracts, marketing, event production, event evaluation, budget management, vendor management, and coordinatingServe as primary liaison across internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and executionAct as Brookfield’s lead on-site contact for all events, overseeing operations, stakeholder experience, and issue resolutionOversee inbound third-party event inquiries from intake through agency handoff, identifying revenue-generating opportunitiesManage various activation types across the portfolio, including permitting, logistics, and on-site coordinationMonitor industry trends and maintain relationships with key partners, vendors, and creatives Your Qualifications 8+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, or partnerships, preferably within real estate, retail, or agency environmentsProven track record of leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder events and brand activations from concept through executionStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience managing budgets, vendor negotiations, and agency relationshipsKnowledge of NYC permitting and licensing processes; experience working with public agencies preferredDemonstrated ability to develop and manage strategic growth partnershipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven with strong on-site leadership capabilitiesPassion for events, culture, and placemaking, with a pulse on industry trends and emerging experiences Your Career @ BGRE: At BGRE, your career progression is important to us.
