Director, Equity, Diversity, and Access
About the role
The Director, Equity, Diversity, and Access at Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) oversees initiatives aimed at ensuring equitable access and opportunities for all students, staff, and families. SUSD is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and supported.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies across the district.
- Develop and lead initiatives to improve educational outcomes for historically marginalized groups.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination laws.
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of equity-related programs and initiatives.
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff on topics related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree or doctorate in educational leadership, equity studies, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in educational administration or related field.
- Experience leading equity, diversity, inclusion, community engagement, student support, or related strategic initiatives.
- A valid California Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility for Administrative Services Credential.
- A valid teaching or PPS credential.
- First Aid and CPR certification within sixty (60) days of hire.
- A valid California Class C driver’s license.
- Fingerprinting through SUSD PD, Tuberculosis clearance.
