Director, Dealer Service Sales
Overview
The Director of Dealer Services Sales for Ferris Commercial Mowers is responsible for creating and implementing strategic growth initiatives, executing targeted marketing and service sales tactics, and delivering promotional programs to achieve budgeted sales, market share, and unit profit growth goals.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Process Optimization:
- Participating in corporate strategic and long-term planning for service parts.
- Leading the development of sales methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and personnel.
- Engaging in the strategic planning and allocation of work across complex business processes.
- Financial & Market Performance:
- Monitoring, developing, and managing annual operating plans to ensure strict compliance with corporate requirements while maximizing revenue and profit growth goals.
- Collaborating with whole goods Sales Managers and partners to analyze industry trends and potential opportunities within existing and new markets.
- Assessing the dealer base continuously to align business offerings with the evolving needs of customers.
- Program Management & Execution:
- Fostering and driving continuous improvement programs by partnering directly with service sales, marketing teams, distributors, and dealers.
- Team, Stakeholder, & Operations Management:
- Interacting regularly with dealers, distributors, major customers, and key organizational stakeholders.
- Supporting new customer and dealer development in the assigned market while securing excellent ongoing customer support.
- Resolving highly complex operational issues requiring an in-depth, analytical knowledge of company scenarios, data, and workflows.
- Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in sales, dealer support, or a related commercial business field.
- Proven ability to translate complex sales information, field data, and market trends into highly successful service sales strategies.
- Advanced capability to accurately forecast, monitor, and manage operational and capital budgets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for executive, dealer, and public presentation.
- Fluency in English and the primary language utilized within the assigned area of responsibility.
