Director Critical Care

About the role

The position is incentive eligible and part of a larger investment in team members by HCA Healthcare, committing up to $300 million over three years.

Responsibilities

• Administer and evaluate the operations of ICU, IMC, Float Pool and House Supervisors units.
• Plan, administer, and evaluate the operations of his/her respective unit(s).
• Provide oversight and direction to multiple departments and assigned managers within the hospital.
• Direct the care of the adult critically ill population, as well as the care of the chronically ill elderly patients.
• Manage the flow of patients and information to expedite care, collaborating with the physicians.
• Demonstrate clinical competency and nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of patient care.
• Contribute to the Ogden Regional Department of Nursing and the nursing profession in a positive manner.
• Manage the standards and scope of nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Registered Nurse.
• Previous experience in Critical Care.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date.
• FEMA/NIMS IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS800 withing 90 days of hire.
