Director, Community & Volunteer Engagement
Position Summary
The Director, Community & Volunteer Engagement leads CLOC's strategy for building a vibrant, connected, and volunteer-led global community. This role oversees CLOC's Regional Groups and Communities of Practice, providing strategic leadership to strengthen member engagement, develop volunteer leaders, and implement governance frameworks, operating models, and best practices that enable communities to thrive and deliver meaningful value to members.
Key Responsibilities
Execute CLOC's community strategy by translating strategic priorities into scalable programs, processes, and volunteer engagement initiatives.
Implement and continuously enhance governance frameworks, operating models, policies, and best practices to ensure consistent, scalable, and effective volunteer-led communities.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with Regional Group leaders, Communities of Practice leaders, members, and key stakeholders.
Monitor community health through engagement metrics, participation trends, and member feedback, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainable growth.
Represent CLOC at conferences, regional events, and industry gatherings, serving as an ambassador for the organization's community strategy and mission.
Recruit, onboard, coach, and support Regional Group leaders and Communities of Practice leaders, providing the tools, resources, and guidance needed for success.
Develop volunteer leadership pathways, succession planning strategies, and recognition programs that strengthen long-term volunteer engagement.
Partner with volunteer leaders to develop annual plans, establish priorities, and align community initiatives with CLOC's strategic objectives.
Provide strategic consultation and ongoing guidance to volunteer leaders, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistency across communities.
Cultivate an inclusive volunteer experience that encourages leadership development, innovation, and sustained engagement.
