About the Role

This strategic leadership role drives transformation initiatives within the Transmission organization, working across Transmission Field Services, Operations, Projects (In-Service and As-builts) to improve processes and supporting systems for asset management and field work execution. This includes capture of conditions against assets and auto-generation of work orders based on conditions. The role reports to the VP, Transmission Center of Excellence and leads cross-functional efforts to identify process improvement opportunities, establish key performance indicators, implement innovative solutions, and enhance organizational effectiveness. It consolidates requirements from FAC-008 and Wildfire Mitigation Plans and translates them into end-to-end process, data, and system enhancements to facilitate adherence. The Director serves as a key change agent, aligning transformation efforts with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of transformation strategies aligned with the Transmission CoE vision.
  • Partner with Transmission leaders to identify and prioritize high-impact transformation opportunities.
  • Oversee end-to-end process improvement initiatives across transmission operations.
  • Introduce and scale innovative methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile practices.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure transformation success and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and track performance improvements.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Develop communication and training plans to support transformation initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing transformation team.
  • Coach and mentor staff and stakeholders on continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for transformation efforts.
  • Facilitate leadership workshops and progress report-outs to drive accountability and transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the utility or field services industry.
  • Proven track record of engaging in cross-functional transformation efforts in the utility or related industry.
  • PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or other transformation-related certifications preferred.

Location

Pay

Compensation range: $160,434.00 - $208,565.50

Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
