About the Role
Neumo is seeking a Director of Business Operations who will report directly to the GM/EVP of the Public Admin Business Unit. This role oversees initiatives across Finance & Tax and Forms business areas to enhance company profitability and operational efficiencies. The Director will serve as the principal liaison to the entire organization, facilitating timely execution of tasks and transformative actions to optimize operations while minimizing risk. Responsibilities include assisting the BU in developing operations processes and strategy, hiring, customer engagement, and executing special projects.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the EVP/GM, Lines of Business, and Finance leadership on revenue strategy and critical operational initiatives to improve and maximize revenue acquisition, retention, and growth.
- Implement objectives aligned with the company’s business goals and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches.
- Maintain a holistic view of operations and associated technology (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ, Replicon, ServiceNow).
- Facilitate successful implementation of new programs by ensuring well-defined, efficient processes are in place for launch.
- Drive continuous process improvement across sales and revenue functions.
- Lead change management processes to build organizational understanding of proposed changes and secure support from key leadership stakeholders.
- Work closely with leadership to define optimal performance measurements and management programs to ensure sales success.
- Align reporting, training, and incentive programs with performance management priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Communications, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics preferred).
- 10+ years in State and local software services implementation and support.
- 5+ years of experience leading end-to-end projects requiring strategic and creative thinking.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams and make effective, timely decisions.
- Experience working across diverse teams and stakeholders to identify needs and synthesize information into strategic action plans.
- Experience in project SOW, pricing, contract review, and implementation.
- Proactive and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and recommend effective action plans.
- Strong communication skills; capable of conveying complex information to broad audiences, including preparing executive-level documents and presentations.
- Results- and success-oriented mentality, driving issues to closure with a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge or familiarity with Salesforce, Replicon, ServiceNow, CPQ, and Excel.
- Innate drive to innovate and optimize the use of available resources.
- Comfort with adapting to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.
Schedule
- Travel expected 25% of the time.
Work Environment
Office setting with a moderate noise level. The employee will work at an individual workstation using a telephone and computer.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain seated for extended periods.
- Regular use of a computer and other office machinery, such as printers and copy machines.
- Occasional movement around the office.
- Frequent communication via telephone.
