Direct-to-Consumer Marketing Manager - HIV Prevention
About the role
ViiV Healthcare is a global specialty HIV company, the only one 100% focused on researching and delivering new medicines for people living with, and at risk of, HIV. This Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Marketing Manager, HIV Prevention role is based in Durham, NC and may qualify for a domestic relocation package. Employees are required to be onsite 2 days per week. The role leads development and execution of key consumer marketing activities and digital solutions, ensuring campaigns are patient-centered, innovative, and competitive.

Responsibilities
- Lead key direct-to-consumer marketing activities, including branded and unbranded social, influencer, audio, and print execution.
- Lead experiential activations for unbranded campaigns.
- Understand People Who Can Benefit from PrEP (PWBP), the competitive landscape, and complex trends in the US marketplace to contribute to strategic marketing campaigns and materials.
- Assist in evolving digital content to reach patients through critical channels.
- Foster collaborative relationships across brand and cross-functional teams, building alliances.
- Manage projects through promotional review and the Copy Approval system.
- Manage agency partners in creative development and tactical execution, including evaluating and setting project budgets, establishing timelines, and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Identify and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders grounded in trust and mutual respect.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track performance, and optimize marketing programs for maximum impact.
- Lead internal cross-functional teams, including Copy Approval, external partners, and project teams to drive business results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4+ years of US-based pharmaceutical industry experience in marketing and/or commercial roles.
- Experience working with and managing external agencies.
- Experience in creating product messaging and developing tactics.
- Experience navigating the Copy Approval / Promotional Review Team (PRT) process and promotional review.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree (e.g., MBA) or related field.
- Prior PrEP or HIV market experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment (e.g., Copy Approval Team, brand marketing, sales, training, medical, insights, and analytics).
- Media planning knowledge across multiple channels.
- Project management and demonstrated analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- High level of motivation and strong ability to find creative solutions to unstructured situations.
- Knowledge and practical application of compliance acumen in the pharmaceutical space.
- Experience preparing and delivering written and verbal communications in a professional setting, including interpersonal influencing and prioritization skills.
- Experience navigating internal processes, managing multiple priorities, and keeping projects on track to meet deadlines.
