About the role

At Ability Beyond, we support adults with various needs in both residential and community settings. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals build life skills, achieve personal goals, and remain active in their communities.

Responsibilities

• Provided hands-on support for individuals with medical and light behavioral needs in a 14-bed medically frail group home
• Assisted adults with disabilities with daily living activities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, mobility, and personal care
• Supported individuals with bathing, toileting, medication reminders, meal planning, budgeting, communication, and independent living skills
• Provided transportation to medical appointments, errands, community outings, and recreational activities
• Encouraged participation in volunteer opportunities, fitness programs, Special Olympics, sporting events, crafts, and other community-based activities
• Implemented positive behavior reinforcement strategies and utilized de-escalation techniques when needed
• Aided in goal planning, progress tracking, socialization, and skill development to support individualized care plans
• Collaborated with an interdisciplinary team including nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical professionals to provide comprehensive care
• Maintained accurate electronic and physical documentation of daily case notes, services provided, progress, and activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to learn with no prior experience required

Pay

Pay Rate: $20.25 to $20.75 per hour

Schedule

Guaranteed set fulltime schedules available including first, second, and third shifts, as well as weekends.
