Direct Support Professional ~ $21/hr

About the role

The NEEDS Center is a growing non-profit organization seeking Direct Care Support Professionals to assist and support adults with developmental disabilities. Positions are available in Topsfield, MA, with shifts including 2nd shift, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines.
• Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking and cleaning.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Implementing clinical, educational, and vocational programs.
• Observing and recording data for programs established in individual and behavior support plans.
• Participating with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with behavior management preferred.
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Effective communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
• Able to read fluently.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

Pay

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour (Pay based on experience and MAP Certification).

Schedule

Primarily 2nd shift, overnights, and/or weekends.

Sign-on Bonus

Hired Full Time candidates receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus ($750 upon hire and $750 after 6 months of employment).
