Direct Support Professional ~ $21/hr

About the role

We are a growing non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults with developmental disabilities to live independently while enjoying community life. We currently have 8 openings for Direct Care Support Professionals in our residential home in Billeraca, MA. Positions are typically 2nd shift, overnights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prove hands-on personal care and assist adults with autism in their daily routines.
• Support residents in developing daily living skills, such as personal care, grooming, cooking, and cleaning.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Implement clinical, educational, and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior Support Plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Experience with behavior management is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms with co-workers and supported individuals.
• Must be able to read fluently.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

Pay

The pay range is $20-$21 per hour, based on experience and MAP Certification.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time positions are available, with roles primarily working 2nd shift, overnights, and/or weekends.
