Direct Support Professional - $22/hr and overtime eligible!

About the role

The NEEDS Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults with developmental disabilities, particularly those with ASD and interfering challenging behavior. We offer a range of services including direct care support, behavior management, and educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and assist individuals with autism in their daily routines.
• Support individuals in developing daily living skills such as personal care, dressing, cooking, and cleaning.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Implement clinical, educational, and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for individual and behavior support plans.
• Collaborate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with behavior management preferred but not necessary.
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Effective communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

Pay

$21-$22 per hour, pay based on experience and MAP Certification.

Schedule

Shifts available in our residential home in Boxford, MA, including 2nd shift, Overnights, and weekends.

Sign-On Bonus

Hired Full Time candidates receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus, $1,000 upon hire and $1,000 after 6 months of employment.
