About the role

The NEEDS Center is a growing non-profit organization seeking Full Time Direct Care Specialists to assist and support adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines.
• Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, and cleaning.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred (but not necessary).
• Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary).
• Able and willing to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with co-workers and supported individuals.
• Must be able to read fluently.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

Pay

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (Pay based on experience and MAP Certification).

Schedule

Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential home in Tewksbury, MA. These positions are primarily either second shift, overnights, and/or weekends.

Sign-On Bonus

Full-time candidates receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus ($750 upon hire and $750 after 6 months of employment).
