Direct Support Professional - Day Shift - $22/hr

Responsibilities

• Assisting and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living skills, personal care, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in making independent decisions and participating in valued community roles.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Implementing clinical, educational, and vocational programs.
• Observing and recording data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior Support Plans.
• Participating with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes participating and supporting individuals at community events.
• Administering medications or supporting individuals in self-medication (if you have MAP certification).

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary).
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and remain alert during shifts.
