Job Summary

Responsible for Rehab Services with efforts directed towards hospital needs and continued development of the service. Build strong referral basis with physicians and awareness of services in the community through delivery of quality services.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the daily operations of Rehabilitation Services Department.
  • Ensures quality of treatment programs, compliance with licensure and certification requirements, and integration of various practice disciplines (Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Technical and Clinical Services).
  • Evaluates and treats patients in the area of therapy, establishes goals and plans of care, and delegates responsibilities as permissible by law.
  • Assumes the role as leader in planning, directing, and managing the department and staff to ensure quality service on a 24-hour basis.
  • Maintains compliance with JCAHO Standards, corporate policies and procedures, manages supplies and equipment on the unit, promotes teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, promotes internal and external customer satisfaction, and manages resources appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited university with a B.S. degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology, preferably with management course work.
  • Minimum of three years experience in health care management and five years clinical experience in a Rehabilitation/Hospital setting.
  • Licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Knowledge of healthcare system and previous experience in hospital setting.
  • Ability to effectively work with others in a leadership/team player role.
  • Current CPR certification.

Schedule
