Responsibilities
- Greet residents and guests, oversee service staff, and interact with them while maintaining a safe and sanitary dining environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and guests, responding quickly to their needs and requests.
- Ensure timely delivery of room service orders and proper handling of resident/guest billing.
- Oversee the daily operation of dining rooms, room service, and convenience stores, ensuring smooth and timely openings.
- Produce weekly schedules with budgetary guidelines for service staff and manage staffing levels, covering for absent employees as needed.
- Lead the training of new dining room employees and assist service staff during mealtime as necessary.
- Manage resident/guest billing of food service charges and oversee the preparation and presentation of food.
Qualifications
- 6+ months of previous Food Service experience.
- Management experience is not required but a plus.
- Must hold Serv Safe and/or other required local, county or state certifications.
- Ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
- A positive and professional attitude with the ability to give clear direction in a respectful manner.
- Pride in the quality and presentation of food prepared and the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
- A generous amount of patience and effective communication skills with various personalities.
