About the Role

The Dining Room Team Lead, Part Time is responsible for the oversight of guests dining at The Cove. This includes all meals and breaks served outside the dining room.

Ministry Requirements

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
  • Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
  • Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA's Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
  • Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with supervision of dining room servers, set up and operation of dining room
  • Assists with supervision of buffet line staff, set up and operation of buffet line and break stations
  • Oversees cleanliness of dining room and hostess room
  • Assists in setup and service of catering events outside dining room
  • Monitors proper uniform standards are met by all dining room staff
  • Ensures readiness of dining room before service begins
  • Observes NC Health Regulations to ensure a safe and sanitary work and service environment

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned by Food Services Supervisor
  • Available to work in other departments, as needed

Job Specifications

  • Knowledge with and experience in culinary presentation
  • Familiar with and well-practiced in North Carolina health and safety codes
  • Ability to communicate verbally with staff of all levels of the association, in one-on-one settings and group settings
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to hospitality and excellence
  • Ability to relate to people well, being approachable
  • Ability to analyze and make decisions based on BGTC protocols
  • Maintain confidentiality, where appropriate

  • Capacity to prioritize work and manage multiple projects in a high-paced environment
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changing job parameters, deadlines, or directions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility when priorities change

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to move easily and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds

Working Conditions

Conventional dining room environment. Extended daily, evening and weekend hours may be required.

Benefits

Part-Time employees working at least 20 hours and fewer than 30 hours each week, are eligible for partial benefits.
