Dining Room Manager - Senior Living

About the role

Burgundy Place, a Senior Star community, is seeking a Dining Room Manager who brings strong leadership, genuine hospitality, and an eye for the details that turn a meal into an experience. This role leads the dining room experience for Independent Living residents, working closely with the Food & Beverage Director and the dining team to deliver exceptional service every day.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and professional dining experience for residents and guests.
• Lead and develop the dining room team, including training, coaching, scheduling, and ensuring strong coverage.
• Set clear expectations for exceptional service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Oversee dining room preparation, meal service, and cleanliness to ensure every service is ready and polished.
• Build relationships with residents, listen to feedback, and take ownership of their dining experience.
• Partner with the Food & Beverage Director and other departments on special events, prospect lunches, and community experiences.
• Step in and support the team wherever needed to ensure service never misses a beat.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a restaurant, dining room, hospitality, or food‑service team.
• Ability to motivate people while maintaining high standards.
• Organized and confident in managing schedules, coverage, and multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of how it impacts the guest experience.
• Enjoyment in getting to know the people you serve and building genuine relationships.
• Willingness to lead by example and jump in alongside the team when needed.
• Strong desire to make a difference in the lives of older adults.
