Facility Manager
About the role
The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and regulatory compliance of Patriot Environmental’s Portland waste treatment, disposal, and wastewater pre-treatment facility. This role holds full P&L accountability and leads all site functions—including operations, maintenance, logistics, laboratory, and safety—to ensure efficient, compliant, and profitable operations.
Essential Functions
Lead daily operations across processing, maintenance, logistics, laboratory, and administrative functions
Direct and optimize waste treatment and processing activities
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics including scheduling of tankers, railcars, and trailers
Ensure efficient coordination of receiving, storage, processing, and outbound shipments
Utilize CMMS systems to ensure reliability and maintenance of facility assets
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures
Maintain compliance with RCRA, CWA, EPA, DOT, OSHA regulations
Manage permits and regulatory obligations; lead inspections and permit renewals
Ensure accurate regulatory reporting and documentation
Own facility P&L, cost controls, and budget performance
Partner with sales teams to support growth and profitability
Identify opportunities to improve throughput and operational efficiency
Oversee inventory management and third-party vendor coordination
Provide regular updates to senior leadership
Partner with corporate functions across operations, finance, and compliance
Oversee vendor and contractor performance
Education & Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical sciences is highly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
7+ years in industrial waste processing, environmental services and/or related industries
Progressive leadership experience
P&L management experience
Knowledge of waste treatment, wastewater pre-treatment, and regulatory frameworks including but not limited to RCRA, CWA, EPA, DOT, OSHA
Experience with plant operations, maintenance, and permitting
Logistics experience (tankers, rail, or other bulk transport)

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 and includes benefits such as the above.
