About the Role

The Digital Solutions Product Manager is responsible for maximizing the adoption of digital products and services to customers throughout the Thompson Tractor territory. This position provides strategic management, specialized product knowledge, sales support, and reporting for Thompson Tractor’s digital product portfolio. The role focuses on meeting branch and dealership sales objectives while working with customers to increase and expand their use of digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an approved comprehensive Digital Product strategy for Thompson Tractor.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and direct new digital product initiatives to drive customer engagement.
  • Evaluate eCommerce site(s) for sales growth, customer retention, and profitability.
  • Manage eCommerce (e.g., Parts.Cat.com and Integrated Procurement) tactics to exceed growth targets.
  • Manage digital service (e.g., VisionLink) tactics to exceed growth targets.
  • Expand the usage of Artificial Intelligence to improve dealership and customer operations.
  • Manage all future digital product monetization efforts, incorporating products into the Digital Product strategy and developing tactics to exceed growth targets.
  • Work with Marketing to develop promotional plans, tools, and reporting to support digital product sales tactics.
  • Evaluate, adjust, and/or develop training programs for sales personnel regarding digital product sales.
  • Provide technical expertise for digital products.
  • Monitor and report digital product performance.
  • Analyze digital product performance to identify growth opportunities or course corrections for the Digital Product strategy.
  • Provide liaison support between customers, Thompson Tractor, and Caterpillar.
  • Work with Caterpillar Reps and Product Groups to utilize national and OTO programs.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in digital sales and/or relevant experience is preferred.
  • Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills is required.

Working Conditions

  • Work is normally performed in an office environment.
  • Limited exposure to physical risk and all-weather conditions.
  • Some overnight travel will be required.
  • Driving for extended periods and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods is often required.
