About the role

The Digital Content Author Marketing Specialist plays a key role in creating, optimizing, and publishing digital content for Sherwin-Williams and our consumer brands, including Valspar, Minwax, Purdy, and Krylon, across web and marketing channels. Your work will directly impact the way millions of customers experience our brands online while helping drive traffic and support both eCommerce and in-store sales.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and publish digital content using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and other content management systems (CMS)
  • Help identify and implement improvements to website content, landing pages, digital experiences, and customer journeys
  • Apply SEO best practices, including metadata, keyword optimization, and on-page enhancements to improve organic search performance
  • Work with Adobe Experience Cloud tools (AEM, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics) to support content personalization, testing, and optimization initiatives
  • Assist with A/B testing and content experimentation using Adobe Target
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Analytics, UX, IT, and Creative teams
  • Support campaign execution, including web content, promotional messaging, and digital marketing initiatives
  • Manage and organize digital assets using Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
  • Implement content strategies using templates, components, and structured content within AEM
  • Ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with digital marketing best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
  • 1+ year of experience in digital marketing, content management, web content authoring, or CMS platforms
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other CMS tools (ex. Sitecore, WordPress, Drupal)
  • Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, paid media, and analytics
  • Familiarity with eCommerce or digital product experiences
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple content updates and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics)
  • Experience with content publishing workflows, DAM systems, and structured content
  • Exposure to SEO tools (ex. BrightEdge, SEMrush, Google Search Console)
  • Familiarity with UX, web design principles, or digital optimization strategies
  • E-commerce or digital retail experience
