Digital Marketing Manager
About the role
As a core contributor to the Digital Marketing MOPs team, your work will directly elevate the maturity of Cisco's marketing data ecosystem. By balancing rigorous governance with rapid AI-application development, you will reduce data friction, improve the accuracy of operational KPIs, and accelerate the transition toward a data-driven, AI-enabled marketing organization.

Responsibilities
- Business-Ready Data Engineering (40%): Design, build, and maintain trusted Business-Ready Data products that transform raw enterprise marketing data into governed, standardized, and consumable datasets. Develop scalable data models, reusable transformation logic, business rules, and certified data assets that support operational processes, analytics, and AI.
- Data Integration, Quality & Governance (40%): Engineer and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, and related technologies. Implement automated data quality controls, business rule validation, metadata management, lineage, schema monitoring, and certification processes to ensure trusted, reliable, and business-ready data.
- Business Data Strategy & Stewardship (10%): Partner with business stakeholders to define business-ready data requirements, establish common business definitions, metadata standards, data dictionaries, and governance practices that improve consistency, usability, and enterprise trust in marketing data assets.
- Cross-Functional Partnership & Delivery (10%): Collaborate with Marketing Operations, IT, Analytics Engineering, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to prioritize business-ready data initiatives, align on enterprise standards, and deliver governed data products that enable operational excellence, enterprise analytics, and AI capabilities.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Management, or a related data discipline, with demonstrated experience building and delivering enterprise data solutions.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Snowflake, and dbt with experience designing data models, developing scalable ELT/ETL pipelines, and transforming raw data into standardized, reliable, and consumable datasets.
- Proficiency in Python and Git-based development practices, with experience automating data processes and developing reusable, scalable engineering solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with data quality and data governance fundamentals, including business rules, validation, metadata, lineage, and controls required to deliver trusted data products.
- Strong business and technical partnership skills, with demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions and collaborate effectively across business stakeholders, Data Engineering, Analytics, and IT.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Fivetran and modern cloud data architectures, including enterprise-scale data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
- Experience developing governed or business-ready data products, including standardized business definitions, reusable transformation logic, certification, data dictionaries, metadata management, and automated data-quality monitoring.
- Experience establishing or operationalizing data stewardship and governance practices across business and technical teams.
- Experience developing data foundations that support enterprise analytics, executive reporting, AI/ML, or AI-powered applications.
- Experience working with marketing, marketing operations, customer, or other complex enterprise data ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, helping turn complex business needs into scalable, governed, and reusable data solutions.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $135,100.00 to $171,400.00 for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.
Full salary ranges for specific U.S. locations:
- New York City Metro Area: $165,200.00 - $240,900.00
- Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $145,200.00 - $211,700.00
For quota-based sales roles, the ranges include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

- Additional paid time away for critical or emergency family issues
- Optional 10 paid days per year for volunteering
- Annual bonuses for non-sales roles (subject to Cisco’s policies)
- For sales roles: Performance-based incentive pay split between quota and non-quota components
