Job Duties
- Provide leadership to the kitchen staff
- Oversee pre-meal and meal preparation, including ordering necessary supplies and meeting with vendors
- Manage all kitchen expenses (food, equipment, staff) within budget
- Assist with marketing and social events, including decorating the dining room area
- Responsible for meeting company standards for kitchen/dining room cleanliness and organization
Requirements
- Must have a current Food Handler’s Permit
- Pass a criminal background check
- Prior experience with cooking in an institutional setting required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to use a computer when necessary to fulfil the duties of the role
- Able to understand and meet specialized dietary needs
- Prior experience managing expenses within budgetary guidelines
- Highly organized with a commitment to exceptional customer service
