Dietary Manager
About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department. This role requires previous long-term care experience and prior dietary management experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and energize the dietary team, including hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management
- Oversee daily dietary operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Prepare and oversee meals that follow planned menus, standardized recipes, and approved substitutions
- Ensure compliance with special diets and resident care plans
- Partner with a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition counseling and support
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to meet resident needs
- Conduct employee evaluations and manage disciplinary actions when necessary
Requirements
Previous long-term care experience required. Prior dietary management experience required. ServSafe Certification and CDM certification preferred.
