Under the direct supervision of the Food and Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead, the Diet Aide performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties. Minimum/Preferred Requirements High school graduate or equivalent, preferred. ServSafe Certification preferred. Foodservice experience, or equivalent nutrition preferred. Job Responsibilities/Duties Prepares all food items and patient meal trays accurately based on diet order, approved recipes and patient meal tickets Uses proper techniques to ensure food safety. Techniques include, but not limited to: hand hygiene, glove use, temperature monitoring/control, cleaning and sanitizing Follows procedures for stocking trayline, prep areas and nourishment rooms.
