Responsibilities
The Dietary Aide performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead. Specific responsibilities include:
- Prepares all food items and patient meal trays accurately based on diet order, approved recipes, and patient meal tickets.
- Uses proper techniques to ensure food safety, including hand hygiene, glove use, temperature monitoring/control, cleaning, and sanitizing.
- Fulfills trayline, prep areas, and nourishment room stocking duties.
- Utilizes proper delivery and pickup procedures, including patient identification, isolation techniques, and dishroom procedures.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- ServSafe Certification preferred within 6 months of hire.
- Dietary experience preferred.
