About the role

Forest Acres Post Acute is a 132-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility in downtown Columbia, SC. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and fostering meaningful relationships with our residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and tray assembly
• Serve meals with a friendly smile
• Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized
• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work alongside an amazing team to provide exceptional resident care

Requirements

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Team player who enjoys helping others
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Dietary or food service experience is a plus but we're happy to train the right person!

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read technical procedures and recipes
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate
