Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on diesel engines and related systems.
- Inspect vehicles to identify worn or defective parts and determine needed repairs.
- Conduct routine servicing tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and system checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Collaborate closely with service advisors and team members to provide timely and effective solutions for customers.
- Adhere to safety protocols and dealership standards at all times.
- Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed and provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role within an automotive service environment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical systems, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to work in Janesville, WI.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical automotive degree is preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Tools/toolbox required.
- Positive, friendly attitude with a customer service mentality.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
Pay
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $35.00 to $45.00, paid semi-monthly.
