Diesel Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to perform accurate troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing of both routine maintenance and emergency services while making repair recommendations to customers. This position will work closely with other technicians to ensure all work is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  • Adhere to all Company and industry safety standards.
  • Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
  • Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
