Diesel Mechanic Technician - 3rd Shift

About the role

Seeking a skilled technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, conducting inspections, replacing parts, and ensuring equipment meets licensing and safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, complete work orders, and perform road call services as needed. The role requires professional communication with co-workers and adherence to all trucking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet equipment
• Inspect critical components such as brakes and steering systems
• Install and repair onboard computers and electrical systems
• Ensure equipment is roadworthy and properly licensed
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities
• Perform road call services when required

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration systems
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, and experience with computerized diagnostics
• Knowledge of safety standards, inspection procedures, and regulatory compliance
