About the role
Responsible for safely operating, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues with diesel trucks, hydraulics, and specialized equipment.
- Perform routine and complex maintenance on various vehicle types, including CNG, gas, and electric models.
- Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner, ensuring availability of parts.
- Complete accurate reports, work orders, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with laws and safety policies.
- Assist in reviewing mechanical issues, coordinating repairs, and training new team members.
- Maintain personal tools and keep a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical diploma in diesel mechanics preferred.
- Computer literacy and ability to learn diagnostic software.
- Ability to meet safety screening criteria.
Physical & Work Environment
Frequently required to stand, lift up to 100 pounds, and work in loud, hot/cold, and chemical-exposed environments, sometimes at heights.
