Diesel Mechanic

About the role

Responsible for safely operating, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, hydraulics, and specialized equipment
  • Perform routine and complex maintenance
  • Plan repairs using the M5 system
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately
  • Ensure safety compliance
  • Assist in equipment write-ups, repair schedules, and training
  • Maintain personal tools and work area

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required; technical diesel mechanic training is preferred.

Skills

Computer literacy and familiarity with diagnostic software are a plus; ability to meet safety standards is necessary.

Physical & Working Conditions

Frequently stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 100 pounds; work in loud, hot/cold, and chemically hazardous environments; may work at heights.
