About the role
Responsible for safely operating, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, hydraulics, and specialized equipment
- Perform routine and complex maintenance
- Plan repairs using the M5 system
- Complete administrative tasks accurately
- Ensure safety compliance
- Assist in equipment write-ups, repair schedules, and training
- Maintain personal tools and work area
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required; technical diesel mechanic training is preferred.
Skills
Computer literacy and familiarity with diagnostic software are a plus; ability to meet safety standards is necessary.
Physical & Working Conditions
Frequently stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 100 pounds; work in loud, hot/cold, and chemically hazardous environments; may work at heights.
