About the role
The Foundations of Kaleida Health, which includes The Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation and The Kaleida Health Foundation, is a dynamic and growing non-profit organization dedicated to supporting programs, equipment and technology at WNY's premier health care system and the region's only pediatric hospital, Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH).
Responsibilities
- Support the Manager of Annual Giving in the management and execution of the leadership and annual giving programs for the Foundation of Kaleida Health.
- Support the comprehensive, multi-channel annual giving program with a strong emphasis on digital fundraising, direct mail, and data-driven strategy.
- Manage a portfolio of 50-75 leadership level donors and prospects ($1,000 or more donors who have the potential to make a major gift of $25,000 or more) to build into the Foundations' donor pipeline and successfully transition relationships to major gift officers.
- Support initiatives such as Giving Day For Kids, Patricia Allen Fund season campaign, employee and grateful patient giving and a robust annual direct mail program.
- Understand and apply annual giving best practices, and demonstrate strong project management skills.
- Use analytical skills to identify and evaluate fundraising opportunities, and be detail-oriented and organized, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Have familiarity with donor management systems, and possess a passion for healthcare and the mission of an organization dedicated to community care.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build and maintain donor relationships.
- Proficiency in research and analytical skills to identify and evaluate fundraising opportunities.
- Experience in fundraising, with knowledge of best practices for donor engagement and campaign management.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with donor management systems is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred.
