About the Role
Join our team as a Desktop Technician and play a key role in supporting the systems that power patient care. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for resolving technical issues, supporting end users, and ensuring our hospital’s technology environment runs efficiently. Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level desktop support to staff across the organization (in-person and remote)
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and basic network issues
- Manage and resolve service tickets with a focus on timely follow-up and excellent customer service
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and related systems
- Support audio-visual and multimedia tools (e.g., virtual meeting platforms like Zoom and Teams)
- Educate and guide users on software applications and best practices
- Assist with system rollouts, upgrades, and technology deployments
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with IT processes, security standards, and organizational policies
Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Working knowledge of desktop systems, applications, and basic networking (TCP/IP)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting technology in a healthcare environment
Schedule
Full time, 40 hours per week. Work schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
