Desktop Support (Internship)

Location: 4900 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn, Ohio. This is a 2-month internship starting September 3rd, with the opportunity to extend based on performance and availability. The role requires full-time (40 hours per week) onsite work.

About the Role

The Technology Analyst Micro-Intern position provides support for all employees at KeyBank, focusing on resolving support requests, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining continuous service delivery. This includes deploying IT assets, providing deskside computer hardware and software support, and working directly with various lines of business across the bank.

Key Technology, Operations & Services (KTOS) enables the technology needs of business partners and clients across the enterprise. KTOS delivers efficient, reliable, and secure technology solutions, playing a critical role in KeyBank’s operations, including business delivery, enterprise technology, data management, operations, and security.

Responsibilities

• Image and configure laptops, desktops, and other equipment (including monitors, card readers, and accessories) for KeyBank employees based on individual assignments.
• Ensure safe packaging and shipping of devices to domestic and international addresses.
• Track and manage KeyBank’s inventory of equipment, maintaining accurate records.
• Process returned equipment, preparing it for future use.
• Enhance employee productivity by delivering secure and seamless access to KeyBank’s data and services.
• Image Windows laptops and desktops to replace non-compliant Windows 11 devices.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all hardware equipment and devices.
• Provide support for Key’s computer platforms at corporate, campus, and data center locations.
• Support single projects and initiatives within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Track corporate IT assets throughout the computer lifecycle.
• Install, support, and maintain desktop applications.
• Provision applications using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Support desktop and mobile operating systems.
• Deliver a high level of customer service to KeyBank’s internal client base.
• Effectively communicate with end users.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS computers.
• Complete assigned tickets within SLA.
• Use industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Rely on documented and established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Communicate using excellent grammar and listening skills.
• Work closely with the team and produce clear documentation.
• Learn new things and adapt to new procedures.

Requirements

• Must be able to work full-time and onsite in the fall; the internship may be extended based on performance and availability.
• Enrolled in Computer Science and/or business coursework, or already holding a degree in Computer Science and/or business, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work in a customer-oriented, positive team environment.
• Strong face-forward customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical staff.

Desired Skills

• Technical support experience in a computer support environment.

Pay

This position offers an hourly rate of $20.00, with a pay range of $18.00 - $23.08 per hour. Placement within the range may vary based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
