About the role
The Deputy Human Resources Director supports the HR Director in providing leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of HR, Risk Management, and Payroll functions. They help develop and implement HR practices and objectives that align department programs with the Town's guiding principles and strategic priorities. In the Director’s absence, they manage all departmental operations.Responsibilities
- Supports the HR Director in providing leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of HR, Risk Management, and Payroll functions.
- Develops and implements HR practices and objectives that align department programs with the Town's guiding principles and strategic priorities.
- Aids in the execution of Town Manager directives, supports policy development, and coordinates interdepartmental initiatives.
- Manages all departmental operations in the absence of the HR Director.
Requirements
- Broad range of HR Generalist experience enabling flexibility to support varying departmental needs.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible human resources management experience.
- Experience in risk management and payroll administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
