Deposit Ops Specialist I - Checks and Wires

Responsibilities
- Effectively prioritize internal and external requests, building strong relationships between operations and the entire Bank.
- Provide excellent customer service, delivering support and answering internal and external inquiries by phone and email.
- Demonstrate professional oral and written communication skills and follow-up when corresponding with employees and customers.
- Perform tasks related to the Check and Wire Team, including but not limited to:
- Processing domestic and international outgoing and incoming wires.
- Reviewing and processing in-clearing and deposited checks.
- Conducting risk and fraud reviews of accounts, transactions, and deposited items.
- Maintaining tracking logs.
- Maintain strong attention to detail in all daily functions and perform repetitive tasks without losing focus.
- Support Branches and internal departments with wire and check-related research and inquiries.
- Understand and execute risk assessment processes.
- Assist the manager with research and projects related to Deposit Operations products, processes, and procedures.
- Review current processes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Adhere to 1st Security Bank’s Core Values, policies, and procedures.
- Cross-train to perform other functions in Deposit Operations as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, using multiple systems and managing competing deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of responsiveness and flexibility in performing tasks.
- Ability to embrace and quickly adapt to change due to internal, market, or regulatory policy changes.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and other database software.

Pay
$20.00 per hour.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
