About the Role

Perform various maintenance requests on deposit accounts; review and post Individual Retirement Account (IRA), Health Savings Account (HSA), and Certificate of Deposit (CD) account transactions. Ensure proper indexing of customer information file (CIF) and deposit-related documentation. Provide internal support to other business lines and branches via phone and email.

Responsibilities

  • Complete various maintenance requests, including account type changes, address changes, and closing accounts.
  • Conduct proper indexing of CIF and deposit-related documentation in the documentation repository.
  • Handle returned mail while maintaining records relating to CIFs.
  • Review and post transactions for IRAs, HSAs, and CDs in accordance with proper documentation.
  • Manage the required minimum distribution process for IRAs, including processing disbursement checks.
  • Receive and process internal and external requests for IRA transfers and rollovers.
  • Process CD interest disbursement checks.
  • Interact with various business lines to achieve shared customer servicing goals; convey information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with personnel from applicable departments to ensure smooth and efficient information flow.
  • Report pertinent information to immediate supervisor; compile information as necessary and provide data to appropriate Bank personnel.
  • Respond to inquiries relating to the particular area and requests from customers and other Bank personnel within given time frames and established policy.
  • Attend regularly scheduled coaching and counseling sessions with supervisor to improve communication, develop action plans, and receive feedback.
  • Abide by current laws and organizational policies to promote a harassment-free and compliant work environment.
  • Support risk management practices and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience understanding and working with banking regulations and best practices in a Deposit Operations support environment.
  • Prior experience with banking software preferred.

Skills

  • Proficient reading, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical, computer, problem-solving, and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of IRA and HSA standards and Microsoft Office.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within compressed time frames while meeting deadlines.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office setting with little to moderate exposure to noise, heat, dust, or other adverse factors. Working extended hours may be required as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
