PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountability 1: Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of deposit related transactions to customer accounts. Has oversight and accountability for specific deposit operational area of expertise. Areas of responsibility may include: return item processing; ATM and debit cards; Visa gift and travel cards; processes overdrafts, stop payments; resolves non-posts; monitors dormant accounts; assists in aspects of savings accounts, checking accounts, IRA/HSAs, certificate of deposit; safe deposit box billing; conducts account research; answers customer phone calls and assists with questions, troubleshooting and account servicing issues; sends notices; processes returned mail.
  • Accountability 2: Proficiently perform all the duties and tasks in carrying out the Overdraft program.
  • Accountability 3: Answer customer inquiries for basic deposit services, ensuring prompt and accurate problem resolution and excellent customer service.
  • Accountability 4: Process notices, performs scanning, indexing, and mail processing functions. May run imaging work and complete item processing functions.
  • Accountability 5: Document departmental operating procedures and assist in the implementation and ongoing usage of procedures.
  • Accountability 6: Ensure adherence to all applicable compliance and regulatory requirements as well as bank procedures.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aid with department projects as assigned
  • Actively seek opportunities to strengthen ties between the Bank and the community, while maintaining a positive, professional, and respectful image of the Bank.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience requiring computer skills
  • Banking and/or banking operations experience preferred
  • Data entry skills with speed and accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills to include Word and Excel
  • Accurate with a strong attention to detail
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities in a deadline oriented environment
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Good math skills
  • Dependable
