Maverick Payments is a family-owned, privately held full-service payment provider based in Calabasas, California. We create innovative technology for sales organizations such as ISOs and ISVs looking to monetize payments by reselling our white-labeled payments stack. Our products include merchant acquiring services, a proprietary gateway, ACH processing, fraud & chargeback tools, analytics, and other value-add services.
About the role
Under the direction of the Manager of Deployment & Operational Projects, the Deployment Specialist handles day-to-day deployment tasks including programming, testing, and shipping payment processing hardware.
Responsibilities
- Review assigned orders and ticket requests via company dashboard.
- Ensure required client information is received, available, and accurate, including payment and qualification requirements.
- Check out and assign requested hardware following department processes.
- Download and program point-of-sale hardware according to technical specifications and client-level requests.
- Test point-of-sale devices and related peripherals to ensure programming accuracy.
- Pack point-of-sale equipment neatly and professionally, adhering to company guidelines.
- Coordinate shipping with the team shipping expert.
- Work directly with partner, technical, and support teams to handle escalations and expedited requests prior to shipping deadlines.
- Communicate updates via email and/or the company dashboard as needed.
- Perform occasional physical work, including light lifting (up to 25 lbs.).
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of industry experience in a support or technical-related role.
- Experience and knowledge of pricing & residuals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong general aptitude for technical processes.
- Knowledgeable in point-of-sale systems and related peripherals.
- Experience in call center environments.
- Experience with a multitude of online POS systems including, but not limited to: Auth.net, NMI, Swipe Simple Gateway, Valor VT, Internal Gateway, IPOS Gateway, Accept Blue Gateway.
- Required experience with Fiserv proprietary equipment including, but not limited to: FD series & Clover POS, with a high level of both deployments and technical support knowledge.

Pay
$28–$33 per hour.

This position reports on-site to our offices in Calabasas, CA.
