Deployed Support Specialist (Network Support)

Apex Systems is immediately hiring for an Deployed Support Specialist (Network Support) with a large government client supporting the Navy & Marine Corps in Jacksonville, FL!

Responsibilities

• Provide network technical advice and assistance during the planning phase of a deployment or exercise and coordinate swift solutions to networking problems during the execution phase.
• Directly support USMC deployed units with router, firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Domain Name System (DNS), Active Directory (AD) and Exchange configurations, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assist in the development and execution of Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed units.

Requirements

• Secret clearance
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• High School Diploma and 3-4+ years of Network related experience

Qualifications

• Must be willing to obtain CCNA within 90 days

Skills

• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure
• Experience with routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, AD, and Exchange
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Pay

$32/hr. (BASE) + $5.09/hr. (SCA) = $37.09/hr. (TOTAL)

Schedule

Monday-Friday, Core Business Hours (start time between 6:30am and 8:30am) - 8-hour shifts
