Department of State Aide 6-E8 - Muskegon #244
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We can choose appropriate headings based on content. The posting includes Position Duties (responsibilities). So we can have Responsibilities
with the duties paragraph.
We have Required Education And Experience: could be Qualifications
or Requirements
. The posting also has Additional Requirements And Information (like drug test, background check, CDL, citizenship). Also a separate Requirements section about citizenship. Might combine into Requirements.
We have Work Schedule: Schedule
.
We have Appointment Type/Benefits: maybe we can include a short paragraph about appointment type (Full-Time) under a section like About the role? Or we could create a heading "Appointment Type" but not in allowed list; but we can still use for any section heading? The instruction says use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It gives examples but not exclusive list; we can use other headings as long as they are . Probably safe to use headings like "Appointment Type" etc. But better to stick to given examples. We can incorporate appointment type into a brief
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It gives examples but not exclusive list; we can use other headings as long as they are . Probably safe to use headings like "Appointment Type" etc. But better to stick to given examples. We can incorporate appointment type into a brief
under Responsibilities or a separate section like "About the role". The posting starts with "POSITION DUTIES -This role is all about helping people...". That's like About the role. So we can use
About the role
for that paragraph. Then Responsibilities: maybe we separate duties? Actually the POSITION DUTIES paragraph already describes duties. Could treat that as Responsibilities. But we already used About the role for the introductory paragraph. Might be redundant. Let's think: The instruction says do NOT repeat the job title as a heading. It didn't forbid having both About the role and Responsibilities. But we need to avoid filler. We have substantive content: the paragraph about helping people, processing transactions, answering questions, etc. That's responsibilities. So we can useResponsibilities
for that paragraph. The "Apply today..." is promotional; maybe we can include that as part of responsibilities? It's not a duty. Might be considered boilerplate? It's a call to action; maybe we can drop it as it's application instruction? The instruction says remove application instructions. "Apply today and start building your career with the State of Michigan!" is application instruction; we should drop it. Also "Review additional information about the position's responsibilities here: Position Description DOS Aide 6-E8" is a link; maybe drop as it's a reference. So we keep the core duties. Thus:Responsibilities
This role is all about helping people. You’ll work directly with Michigan residents to review their requests, check eligibility, and make sure their applications meet requirements. You’ll process a variety of transactions, answer questions, and help customers understand different services and online options. If you like working with people, staying organized, and getting things done accurately and on time, this job gives you a meaningful way to serve your community.
Now Appointment Type/Benefits: we have "This position is Full-Time. Therefore, you would be eligible to participate in the benefits offered by the state." That's appointment type (Full-Time) and benefits statement. We could create a sectionAppointment Type
with that paragraph. Benefits: we could note eligibility but no specifics; maybe we can include a short sentence about benefits eligibility within that section. Since we cannot create a Benefits section without specifics, we can incorporate into Appointment Type. Thus:Appointment Type
This position is Full-Time, making you eligible to participate in the benefits offered by the state.
