About the role

The job is for a Department Manager in a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Manage assigned Systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks to teams, follow up, and report results.
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Manage Sales Promotions effectively.
• Train Service Staff in service procedures.
• Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and fast service.
• Ensure food safety and control food costs.
• Train Kitchen Staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
• Hire and train qualified crew members.
• Schedule staff to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
• Support Crew in getting off to a good start and motivate them throughout their time working there.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned and operated McDonald’s restaurants.
