Department Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant, ensuring a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience. The role requires previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Oversee sales promotions and train service staff in procedures.
• Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Make sure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and controls food costs.
• Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
• Hire, train, and schedule crew members to meet sales and profit goals.
• Support new employees and motivate them throughout their tenure.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to have fun.
• Age 18 or older to work as a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
