About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Department Manager, responsibilities may include managing assigned systems, training staff, ensuring customer service, and meeting sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts to ensure fast, accurate, and friendly customer experiences.
  • Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
  • Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
  • Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service.
  • Make sure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and maintains food safety standards.
  • Train and schedule staff to meet sales and profit targets.
  • Support new employees by helping them get off to a good start and recognizing their efforts.

Requirements

  • Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility with schedules and a passion for working in the McDonald’s environment.
  • Must be 18 years or older to manage in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.
