Department Manager

About the role

This job posting is for a Department Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.

• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.

  • Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.

• Ensure the Guest Service Department delivers a great customer experience, manages sales promotions, trains service staff, and organizes the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.

• Ensure the Kitchen Department delivers high-quality food quickly and safely, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.

• Ensure the People Department hires qualified staff, trains them well, and schedules them to meet sales and profit goals. Also, ensure new employees get a good start and are recognized and motivated.

Requirements

Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
