Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Lead the Guest Service Department, ensuring high-quality customer service, effective sales promotions, and proper training of service staff.
• Lead the Kitchen Department, ensuring high-quality food delivery, food safety, food cost control, and proper training in production procedures.
• Lead the People Department, ensuring qualified crew hiring, training, and scheduling to meet sales and profit goals, and supporting crew members throughout their tenure.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for the role.
