About the role
The job is for a Department Manager at a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
Managers lead shifts, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
Department Managers may lead specific departments such as Guest Service, Kitchen, or People.
Guest Service Department Manager: Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, manage sales promotions, train service staff, and organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas.
Kitchen Department Manager: Ensure restaurant delivers great quality food, fast service, food safety, and controls food costs while training kitchen staff on production procedures.
People Department Manager: Hire qualified crew, train them well, schedule them to meet sales and profit goals, and ensure they get off to a good start and are recognized and motivated.
Requirements
Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
Positive team player with flexible schedules and the passion to work in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned McDonald's restaurants.
