Department Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Lead the Guest Service Department, ensuring staff train in service procedures and organize service areas for optimal service.
• Lead the Kitchen Department, ensuring high-quality food delivery, food safety, food cost control, and staff training in production procedures.
• Lead the People Department, ensuring qualified crew is hired, trained, and scheduled to meet sales and profit goals, and supporting crew members throughout their tenure.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald's environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned McDonald's restaurants.
