Department Manager
About the role
The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a manager, responsibilities include ensuring a fast, accurate, friendly customer experience, managing sales promotions, training staff, organizing service areas, and hiring and training staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
- Ensure the Guest Service Department delivers a great customer experience, manages sales promotions, trains service staff, and organizes the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas.
- Ensure the Kitchen Department delivers high-quality food and fast service, maintains food safety, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff in production procedures.
- Ensure the People Department hires qualified staff, trains them well, and schedules them to meet sales and profit goals, and supports their development and motivation.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply for management positions in corporate-owned McDonald's restaurants.
